A message for my younger friends… & a special note if you’re afraid.

**Kids & adults of any age… please scroll down for a special message here, from Mandi…**

Hello, friends 🙂

My oldest son’s (his name is Lincoln, and he is actually turning 7 on his birthday this weekend!) 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Smith (SHOUT OUT TO THE REESE ROCKETS!!!) shared this poem in our “Firsties” class group on Facebook yesterday… and I thought it was just beautiful… so I wanted to read it for you here… hoping it maybe helps ease an anxious mind and heart, or two.

You can search this poem for yourself, it’s titled “The Time We Spring-Cleaned the World” and written by Louise Gribbons, Hunterhouse College.

Thank you for listening, I hope you enjoy…
MM

**And a very special note from Mandi, taken from her youngest son, Ivan’s GSRP preschool teacher, Mrs. Dorland (second REESE ELEMENTARY SHOUT OUT… we LOVE being Rockets!!!) she shared this brilliant idea, and you can as well…**
There has been an increase in domestic violence cases since this quarantine, and there are unfortunately children who look to their school as a safe haven to go to each day, as their home just can’t be.  Yet now, they are stuck in their homes.  So PLEASE KNOW, there are people (like Mrs. Dorland… and myself) who are here for you, YOU ARE NOT STUCK ALONE, so please don’t be afraid to reach out!!!  So…

If you’re stuck in quarantine with a toxic or abusive partner, message me ANYTIME at [email protected] or here on my personal Facebook about my handmade kitchen towels (I don’t make any) and I will know to continually check in on you.

If you ask me about BUYING my kitchen towels (I don’t sell any) and include a shipping address, I will know to contact the police, on your behalf.

If you are younger, under the age of 18, PLEASE add or just say that you’re interested in buying kids hooded bath towels for you or your kiddo (I don’t sell any) and again, include your address… and I’ll know to contact the police, then letting them know a child/young adult is involved.

AND PLEASE TRUST ME… AS A WOMAN, A WIFE, AND A MOM… NOT ONLY WILL I NOT JUDGE YOU, BUT I ALSO WILL NEVER EVER SHARE OR TELL ANYONE THAT YOU MESSAGED ME (except the police, IF you include an address for me to contact them) AND YOU NEVER HAVE TO ADD ANYTHING OF THIS NATURE TO YOUR WORRIES.  I MAY TALK ON THE RADIO, BUT IT WILL NEVER EVER BE ABOUT YOU OR ANY MESSAGE I RECEIVE IN THIS NATURE. MEANING, IF YOU’RE UNDER 18, YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOUR PARENTS OR GUARDIANS FINDING OUT IF YOU DON’T WANT THEM TO.  I promise you, from the bottom of my heart.  I just want to help YOU, please let me.

If you’re willing, put something similar on your social media page as well. Strength in numbers.

ALWAYS SPEAK! 💜 DON’T BE AFRAID.  YOU ARE NEVER ALONE, EVEN IF YOU CAN’T SEE US… THERE ARE PEOPLE (I’M RIGHT HERE, REACHING OUT TO YOU…) WHO UNDERSTAND, DO NOT JUDGE AT ALL, AND WANT TO HELP.
LENDING YOU ALL MY LOVE & STRENGTH, Mandi.
