Dollar General is asking their younger customers to shop later in the morning to allow for their senior customers to shop during the first hour of operation.
The discount store’s CEO Todd Vasos said,“We appreciate our customers’ understanding of our decision and request they visit our stores later in the morning to allow at-risk populations the ability to purchase the items they need at affordable prices.”
Would you consider 65-years old a senior? I’m asking for my dad, who also happens to be disabled. Thank you!

We are not qualifying a specific age. Our goal is to allow the most susceptible customers in our communities the ability to shop during the first hour that stores are open.
